You've probably heard a lot about the newest PvP Guide for World of Warcraft floating around out there – it makes a lot of claims and has a lot of people buzzing once more about whether it's a good idea to spend money on a guide to help you get better in PvP. I've always been up in the air on the issue for a few reasons.
First, I think experience is a good teacher for something like PvP, but I also think that many people are horrible at it and the competition level could use a boost. So, guides can be good I think if they are starting points for people to get better and not complete substitutes for playing the game. I'm getting ahead of myself a bit though – the goal here is to provide a detailed review of the PvP Bible and in this one, I think you'll find exactly what we've all been looking for.
The Promises
Every guide makes its promises. Most of them don't deliver and with guides being as they are, it's hard to do anything about it. So, what about the PvP Bible? I'm happy to report that the guide not only doesn't make any promises it can't keep – it does so admirably by providing some of the best PvP advice I've yet seen in a guide. This is a good little book and that's saying something with some of the solid guides already out there.
The Content
The guide itself is about 250 pages or so and on par with the best guides in terms of actual word count. However, it is full of much more content because it cuts out a good chunk of filler that we often find in other books – the descriptions of attacks that are repeated over and over again or the charts that are completely meaningless. With a few illustrations to break up the text and a well laid out, easily navigated menu, the guide is easy to read and easy to dig through, making it a good sight better than most guides on the market…for anything really.
The Final Verdict
With the PvP Bible, you don't get a repetitive guide book that recycles content and bores its readers half to death. You get a well written, fully researched book with all 81 duals, more than 50 team strategies, every battleground and world PvP objective and a whole bunch of other little extras that only add value to the guide as a whole. To be succinct, this is probably the best PvP guide currently on the market and everyone who has ever considered PvP or is currently working on getting into it, should check it out:
